GAMPROTECT (formerly Single Customer View, SCV) is a cross-operator data-sharing scheme operated by GAMSTOP on behalf of the Betting and Gaming Council. It allows participating operators to flag vulnerable customers and triggers proportionate intervention across all participating operators simultaneously, addressing the long-standing weakness that vulnerable players could be excluded at one operator while continuing at another.
The scheme was ICO-approved in July 2023 and currently operates voluntarily across BGC-member operators. As of Q1 2026 it has flagged more than 5,500 vulnerable consumers, with 88% match rates at a second operator and 66% match rates at three or more operators.
The UKGC has signalled GAMPROTECT participation may become a Social Responsibility Code requirement in H2 2026, making participation mandatory rather than voluntary.
