A conversion cap (sometimes called a maximum cashout) limits the real-money value you can extract from bonus play. Common on no-deposit and wager-free bonuses. Win £200 on a £10 no-deposit bonus with a £50 cap, and £150 of your winnings is removed at the point of withdrawal.
Caps are usually expressed as either a flat amount (£50, £100) or a multiple of the bonus value (5x, 10x). Always read this clause before celebrating a big win on a bonus — it's the single most common cause of player complaints about 'where did my winnings go'.
Example usage
- £100 max conversion on a £10 no-deposit
- 5x bonus value cap (£50 bonus = max £250 conversion)
