GamCare is one of the leading providers of free information, advice and treatment for anyone affected by gambling harm in the UK. The charity operates the National Gambling Helpline (0808 8020 133, freephone, 24/7), provides one-to-one and group treatment programmes, and runs preventative programmes in schools and workplaces.
GamCare is independent of the gambling industry but receives funding via the statutory levy that commenced April 2025. UKGC-licensed operators are required to display the GamCare helpline prominently and link to GamCare resources.
