BeGambleAware is the operating name of GambleAware, an independent UK charity commissioning education, prevention and treatment services for gambling-related harm. The charity does not directly provide treatment but commissions and funds the organisations that do, including the National Gambling Treatment Service.
The BeGambleAware website (begambleaware.org) provides self-assessment tools, information on gambling and its risks, and direct contact routes into the National Gambling Helpline (run by GamCare on 0808 8020 133). Funding traditionally came from the voluntary industry contribution; the statutory levy that commenced April 2025 has restructured how harm-reduction funding flows.
