UK online slot stake limits were introduced under The Gambling Act 2005 (Operating Licence Conditions)(Amendment) Regulations 2025. The per-spin maximum is £5 for adults aged 25 and over, effective from 9 April 2025, and £2 for adults aged 18-24, effective from 21 May 2025.
The limit applies only to online slots. Live casino, table games (digital and live), sports betting, bingo and lottery products are unaffected by these specific caps.
There is no "£15 enhanced tier". Earlier consultation drafts floated this concept but the final statutory instrument did not include it. Any source quoting an October 2026 effective date or a £15 tier is incorrect.
Example usage
