Random Number Generators (RNGs) determine the outcome of every slot spin, virtual table-game hand and instant-win game. UKGC-licensed games must use certified RNGs that have been independently audited for true randomness and tested across statistically significant sample sizes by accredited test houses (eCOGRA, GLI, BMM Testlabs, iTechLabs).
The RNG produces a number; the slot's mathematical model maps that number to a reel position. Outcomes are independent of previous spins (no 'due' wins or 'cold streaks' in any meaningful sense). RNG certification is required before a slot can ship in a regulated market.
Live dealer games use physical RNGs (the wheel, the cards, the dealer's actions) rather than digital RNGs, but are also subject to studio-level fairness audits.
Example usage
- eCOGRA-certified RNG for video slots
- GLI-certified for table games
