iGaming Ontario, often shortened to iGO, manages the day-to-day operation of the province's regulated online market. It signs agreements with private operators that have been registered by the AGCO, allowing legal casinos and sportsbooks to offer their products to Ontario residents.
This model launched in April 2022 and made Ontario the first Canadian province to open competitive online gambling to private companies. Players in Ontario can choose from many licensed brands, all of which must meet provincial standards on fairness, payouts, and responsible gambling. Sites operating under iGO display their status so players can confirm they are legal.
