Ontario's regulated iGaming market posted a record total handle of C$9.52bn in January 2026, underlining how quickly the AGCO-licensed market has grown since launch in April 2022.
A maturing market
Around 48 operators running 82 gaming sites were registered with iGaming Ontario at the time, spanning casino, sportsbook, and poker. The January figure was the highest monthly handle since the market opened, reflecting both more players and more competition.

Update, September 2026: iGaming Ontario later revised January's figure to C$9.547bn. March 2026 (C$9.592bn) and July 2026 (C$9.884bn, the current record) have since set higher monthly totals. As of September 1, 2026, iGaming Ontario lists 49 operators running 84 gaming sites.
